"We got married at Cider Gallery this May. It was wonderful! We met with and shared many emails with Jen, the event coordinator there. She was extremely helpful and professional the whole time- even when it took me a few days to respond to emails. She helped us develop a rain plan when it looked like it would be raining that eased my stress about the day. Beth managed the Gallery during the actual wedding. She made sure we always had our drinks of choice in hand and even had our caterer make us additional plates of food in case we got hungry later in the evening (I eat slow and it was time to run around and see people!). I had a train malfunction on the dance floor and within seconds (I swear!) Beth gathered the train, got me into the bathroom and fixed it.
Cider Gallery is beautiful and comfortable. We got married on the stage outside. We partied inside. The photos look awesome against the backdrop of the many old warehouses in the area. We had very minimal decorations, since we really didn't need any. Most of my family was from out of town and the gallery was interesting to them on its own to keep them impressed. It was a perfect day."

We had an INCREDIBLE spring wedding reception the Cider Gallery, and Jennifer was so wonderful to work with! The decor, lighting, and ambiance was just perfect. The dance floor was fantastic - located directly next to the open "garage door" allowing the cool night air to flow in as we grooved!!!
The only factor that I wish we had planned a bit better was the placement of speeches. I'd recommend having your speeches during the cocktail hour on the outside patio. All guests will be able to see the speaker more easily there. I LOVE this space (and the neat art exhibitions - the one that happened to be up for our wedding was so colorful and went beautifully with our centerpieces!), highly recommend it, and would definitely use it again for future events!!! The Cider Gallery is a beautiful space and we were thrilled to have had our wedding there. Our ceremony was outside in the courtyard and everything went off without a hitch. The staff handled everything like pros and our guests had nothing but great things to say.
Jennifer, as I must point out, was OUTSTANDING. Leading up to the event she helped out with all of our questions and put us at ease. During the event she was a total boss. She even made sure us grooms never had an empty drink. Customer service at its finest.

"We used Cider Gallery as the venue for our wedding reception and could not have been more pleased. Jennifer was super easy to work with, and was very attentive and flexible to any of our questions or requests throughout the entire planning process. The venue looks great on its own, let alone decorated for the wedding, and drew very positive feedback from all of our guests. We had an outdoor cocktail hour in the grassy area adjacent to the building, and then moved indoors for dinner and dancing.We underestimated the amount of alcohol need to serve all of our guests, but the Cider Gallery team jumped into action and helped provide additional stock from reserves they had, so none of the guests ever noticed. Everything was simple from the set-up to break down, and we would certainly recommend the Cider Gallery to anyone in Lawrence who was looking for a unique and romantic location to set your wedding apart. Their team was incredible helpful and attentive, the location is easy for guests to get in and out, and the set-up lends itself very well to make your wedding be whatever you want it to be."

The Cider Gallery is a gorgeous space, both indoors and outside, for weddings. I was looking for a venue that could accommodate both the ceremony and the reception, rain or shine, and Cider Gallery was the perfect choice. We held our ceremony on the lawn outside and reception indoors. Jennifer is AMAZING to work with here! She helped me find specialty sparkling rose for our champagne and popcorn cocktail hour on the lawn, and she made excellent suggestions for how we could set up the room inside and do the decor we wanted. We hung ferns from the ceiling along with big bulb lights strung across the center dance floor to bring a warm, woodsy feel to the space. Cider Gallery doesn't come with many built-in extras - you have to provide your own chairs, tables, flatware, glassware, etc, but if you don't mind pulling together several vendors to make your wedding happen, then you really can't find a more beautiful indoor setting than this. Our family and friends raved about how magical and warm the space felt. Don't be nervous about whether you'll like the artwork -- they always choose beautiful art and Jennifer was willing to work with us to take down pieces that might conflict with the dessert table, for example. I wish I could include photos to show how gorgeous it turned out. We were able to put together an affordable bar package and Jennifer made it easy to do something custom so we could provide the things we wanted and not the things we didn't. If you are looking for a beautiful space with warmth and character, you must check out Cider Gallery. I will forever have the fondest memories of how pretty my wedding day was here! This was the perfect place to make our wedding day so special. Wonderful to work with and an absolutely beautiful venue! I would recommend them to anyone looking for an event space in Lawrence. AJ and the Cider Gallery were great to work with, flexible on scheduling bringing all our different vendors in and worked so hard to give us a perfect reception. Bartenders and staff were extremely attentive to our guests and everything went off without a hitch.

Our wedding and reception at Cider Gallery could not have been nicer. The wedding ceremony was in the north half of the space with seating for about 125. Probably could have held another 15 or so. After the wedding ceremony guests enjoyed a cocktail hour in the south half of the building while the tables were set up for a buffet dinner. Lighting was adjusted to suit the need for our various activities - wedding, dinner, dancing. Although not connected to the Gallery, we highly recommend Culinaria. Fabulous food and cocktails. AJ and his crew were very accommodating, requesting feedback throughout the evening to make sure he was meeting our expectations. At the end of the evening, the bride commented "I wouldn't change a thing." Great job, AJ. Thanks so much for a memorable evening.

"The Cider Gallery was the perfect mix of elegant and casual and I can't imagine having had our big day anywhere else! We got married in the courtyard and had our reception inside. We received several compliments on the venue and the space is so beautiful it really takes the pressure off as far as decorating and ambience. Jennifer and her team were extremely accommodating, professional, and flexible every step of the way from the seating chart to the bar menu. I couldn't recommend it enough and it was one of the easiest and best decisions we made when planning our wedding."

My staff and I really enjoy catering at the Cider Gallery. Loading and unloading is so easy. The prep area is spacious and access to the event spaces is convenient. And then there is Jennifer...so hospitable. Even though the space is cool, she is the real reason you want to have your event there.

Superb renovation and repurpose of East Lawrence building! A beautiful venue for an event in a stunning gallery. Upstairs shared work spaces, offices, and conference facilities are top-notch and reflect the inventiveness and character of the City.

We held a watch party as a fundraiser at Cider Gallery. We couldn't have had it at a better place! The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and answered all 10,000 of our questions. The venue seated 150+ people and several vendors very comfortably. Their projector, announcement system, & PC hookup was very easy to use and could be switched at anytime within seconds. The overhead speakers let us hear perfectly wherever people sat, and the stone walls prevented echoing.The gallery itself is beautiful and added a special touch to the event, because of this we did very little decorating. Lots of parking options. Would DEFINITELY hold another event there!
